What to look for when hiring a
Mobile Disco DJ
Providing mobile discos and party DJ's for your - Birthday, Wedding, Corporate or special
occasion.
Looking for a DJ for your party is
probably a lot harder than you would expect.
A good DJ can really make your night
whether it be a wedding, birthday party, corporate event or a children's party
and sadly the cost of a mobile disco is something many people do not consider
properly. It's easy to get involved with other aspects of your event spending
more money on decorations, photographers, catering etc.
If you think back to the last event you
attended, what do you remember the most? Although it's not always the case, the
DJ will often make or break the success of your event. The Dj will create an
atmosphere, something which a tasty sandwich or nice decoration will find much
harder to create, and it's a great atmosphere which allows people to enjoy
themselves and go home thinking - that was a great night!
So now you the importance of the DJ at
your event, what about the price of the mobile disco.
Everybody says it, probably because it's
true, but the more you pay the more you get - it's as simple as that. If you've
shopped around and got a few quotes you'll probably notice some DJ's charge much
much more than others. This doesn't mean they are the best by any means, but
9/10 they will have more experience and be sure to guarantee you have a great
night.
You will always get the slightly less
experienced DJ's who will be cheaper and can probably give you a great night
also, but it's a risk! When it comes to a birthday party the cost of a DJ can be
reduced, an average price DJ (£150-250) will usually be great and paying more
won't result in a much better DJ. The reason for the increase in cost for
wedding DJ's is the different experience required, having to cover a much larger
age group and the increased pressure.
What questions should you ask
your DJ?
-
Do they provide a written contract specifying the details
of your event and mobile disco?
-
Have they Insured themselves with Public Liability
Insurance in case anybody is injured during your event? (May be required by
venue)
-
Is the equipment they use PAT tested yearly for electrical
safety? (May be required by venue)
-
How confident are they in using a microphone to interact
with the crowd?
-
Do they use high quality equipment (Mackie, RCF, KAM,
American DJ, Pioneer are some good brands for disco equipment). Bad quality
speakers = low quality sound.
-
Quiz them on there music knowledge to make sure they
"KNOW" the music you want and don't just have it in their library.
UK Party DJ always matches your event with the correct
mobile disco DJ, taking the hassle and stress out of finding the right DJ for
the job.
